Hi! My name is Olga. I am a Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). I did my Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering at the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona. Soon after I started my PhD under the supervision of Tryphon Georgiou at the University of California in Irvine, where I am currently at.My research so far has focused on the intersection between control theory and stochastic thermodynamics. In particular, I have studied how Optimal Mass Transport techniques can be applied to thermodynamic systems subject to anisotropic temperature fields, among other subjects. I am interested in thermodynamics as the only physical description that captures the flow, asymmetry and nuances of time. Ultimately, I am driven by the need to understand the emergence of time, both at a the physical and psychological level, its relationship to information and the origin of the universe.
